Can I use any brand lids or only yours?

My wife wondered why didn't have one before

The quality is outstanding and it does what it says it will do. Just put it on and leave for at least 45 seconds and your jar is sealed perfectly. The suction on it is great. You can not use this to can items but it is a great way to keep things fresh longer.

I still use this regularly, and I love how easy it is to use. The battery life lasts a really long time. It auto powers off, which is good, because I seal the jar and then set it down, and move onto other things. I’m not sure if I’ve ever manually turned it off.May 20, 2023:Pros:I do not need a handheld device, in addition to two different sizes of lid adapters. Everything is compact in one device.The time duration is shown on the screen, I don’t have to count in my head.The battery percentage is always shown upon completion, I don’t have to guess when it’s time to plug it in.The rubber gaskets inside, stayed inside upon removing it from the jars. Some of my other units, I have to re-insert the rubber gasket each time I get done using it.The lock and unlock symbol, are easy to see, as well as the line on the regular mouth adapter.It comes with a charging cord.I don’t have to hold it while it is in use. You push it onto the the lid and touch the start button.Cons:It would be nice if it shut off automatically after a set amount of time; for example, 20 seconds.It does not come with the wall power adapter.

Makes jar sealing so easy and quick. A very handy device. Holds charge a long time over 90 seals for me. I wish it had a self shut off but minor issue; you can hear a tone change when jar is sealed.

awesome gadget

This lil gadget is awesome!! I have to admit I didn't like using my food saver because of the time it takes to set everything up. But this lil cutie have changed my game!One thing I have to add, it doesn't automatically stop. But if you cut it off at 35 seconds that's enough for a sure seal. And yes, you have to push harder to get the device on the jar. But id rather have that than not fitting at all. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, and would highly recommend anyone to get this itty-bitty cutie! Lolol

FANTASTIC!!

As described. Works like a gem!! seals both regular and wide mouth lids really tight! I luv this, n I am soooo glad I found vid on this on fb. Light weight and so easy to use, I don't have to carry my heavy machine to seal my jars any longer. Nor do I have to stretch plug to reach table bc there is NO plug. It's electeric yes but charge with usb cord and thats all.

Strong seal

I was a bit dubious that this would work well but sure enough it creates a super strong vacuum! You need to make sure it's well seated by pushing down a bit hard, then press the button. When you stop the vacuum, if you hear a "ping" sound you know it's worked. I've been using it on crackers and things we don't eat quick enough to get through a bag before they usually get stale and love it.

I got sick of buying super expensive berries and watching them rot in my fridge in two or three days. Storing in jars alone can extend the shelf life but removing the air as well it gives you longer-lasting freshness. I've had a few different types of these sealers and I really like this one a lot. You don't need proprietary lids, you can use any lids that you have that match your jars. It does come with three of each of the small and wide mouth size jar lids. Very easy to just push down on top and hit the button and the jars are sealed. You can do this in less than a minute so it's not inconvenient. The device is small enough you can keep it handy in the kitchen. Love this and have saved money by not tossing berries just a few days after I purchased them. Comes with its own charging cord. The device also shows battery percentage on the top when you're finished sealing for a few seconds on the display which is nice.

Way better than my Food saver

I had purchased something similar to work with my food saver vacuum sealer, but it never worked properly. I saw the Mason Genie as an alternative, and it works beautifully on both my standard and wide- mouth jars/ lids. I have used this multiple times to vacuum seal dry goods ( kidney beans from my garden, rice, and various grains. I just follow the filling instructions, pop in a desiccant pack for good measure, and seal the jars- easy to use, all seals have been successful.
